Nancy Irving is a professional golfer, who arrives in England with her husband; they are being mysteriously followed. She also has a very rare blood type. After she collapses she finds herself in a private hospital that specialises in her condition. It seems a bit weird, and she’s continually tired.

Obviously the rare blood type is the key to this. But there’s some twists – about the other inhabitants of the private hospital, and the moments when she discovers that her death has been reported.

In all very creepy, and quite entertaining. The long section in the hospital as things get odder and odder and she can’t quite put her finger on what’s wrong and what she should do about it is frustrating. Yet when she does get into action it makes it much more satisfying. A good entry.
