I Read Books: The Sword Of The Lady

The Sword Of The Lady

Having been split up by the Governor of the Provisional Republic of Iowa at the end of the previous book, the questers manage to get back together and keep heading East. As previously they come across various strange groups, more neo-pagans, French Canadians (ugh) and when they finally reach the east coast, Moorish raiders from Senegal.

On their trail are the prophet’s men, and meanwhile it seems that the bad powers have also infiltrated other places, as one of the Moors has also been possessed. Rudi does finally make it to Nantucket where he has a vision that explains what’s going on and it’s, eh, okay I suppose.

Meanwhile back in Montival, formerly Oregon, things are going badly in the war. The prophet’s army keeps taking forts by having their possessed seekers go in and having everyone turn on each other. But their morale is kept up by the belief that Rudi will return with The Sword Of The Lady.

Don’t Read This: If travelling a post-apocalyptic/newly-fantasised America sounds like poor entertainment
