This is a collection, by a (fictional) death librarian of 26 alphabetically sorted dead people. By talking briefly – telegraphically – about their deaths we learn about their lives. We also learn about Bartholomew Miller*, the librarian who has curated this list.

* It is undoubtedly no coincidence that the author’s name van der Molen (“from the mill”) is cognate with that of the librarian.
