I Read Books: Sisters Red

Sisters Red by Jackson Pearce

Scarlett and Rosie March were attacked by the Fenris, werewolves, as children, and their grandmother was killed. Brought up by the neighbouring woodsmen now they hunt the Fenris. Scarlett, left with one eye and scars is driven to do it but Rosie is starting to see that there is more to the world than hunting and killing the Fenris. Yet she owes her sister everything.

It’s a Young Adult Urban Fantasy based on a fairytale. It’s fun if you don’t think too hard or demand too much from it. If this sounds like faint praise then it’s probably not for you; it’s a perfectly good, superior even, representative of the sub-(sub-?)-genre.

Read This: For two sisters, one of whom loves a man, the other who loves killing werewolves
Don’t Read This: If you want something other than sisters killing werewolves.
Also: That is a glorious cover.
