The Demon (1979?)

A girl is kidnapped and her parents contact a psychic detective, who is a former US Marine colonel. This promising start is derailed as it turns out the psychic detective only gets completely useless visions, warning the parents it will be better if he doesn’t find the guy responsible.

Meanwhile the guy responsible has killed the girl and is now watching a school teacher and her cousin who share a house. The cousin is dating a photographer who is the scion of a rich American family.

The psychic detective managed to put the girl’s father on the killer’s trail, but the killer (“the demon”) turns the tables and kills the father. Going to give his condolences to the girl’s mother she blames the detective for being behind it all. Again promising, though this part of the storyline then ends bloodily and unceremoniously.

The killer goes into action in a confused final sequence, attacking several people as they come to the teacher and cousin’s house. In all incoherent, several interesting and strange ideas picked up and then forgotten about.

Watch This: A curiosity with some weirdly compelling scenes
Don’t Watch This: It’s disjointed and confusing and not in a good way
