Realm of Pure Thought

Well, here we are again, 1st of the month, and a new episode of my space opera serial Chronicles of the Deep Patrol. This time it's actually a fairly straight first contact story; go to a 7,000 year old theocratic empire, have negotiations break down, skullduggery and secrets are revealed and something weird and unlikely is under the citadel. For once it's a full group effort from the whole team, written from the viewpoint of Quintilius, the cultural contact specialist from the Latin speaking planet Minerva, Earth's twin.
