Rust is a robot who buys a watermelon. The robot is looking for an old friend who lives up the mountain. This is not so easy as might be hoped. There are remnants of past minds and civilisations, a talking cat, a data vampire, a house that traps those who go in. Still, they make their way.

Rust and Joiner used to be scavengers, out in space. The two of them part of the most daring crew. Until they came across the last ship, which ended their companions. Where they found something important.

Their reunion will bring back old memories. And also reveal what has been preserved.
