At Lake Manawaka in Western Canada strange things occur. Some of these are mundane, just people trying and living and failing, their lives and families going nowhere or falling apart. Others odd, like the curling robot that scientists bring, a local curling couple team taking it on.

Some become genuinely weird, a pair of skates that might be cursed, an encounter with a cryptid that no one believes, a golfer who claims to have been abducted by aliens. The stories that people tell. Somewhere in here is real life, and somewhere here is myth and sense of place.
