I Read Stories: Succulus by Tim Boiteau
Succulus by Tim Boiteau in Roi Fainéant
When Emma finally moved in most of her things were already in the flat. They’d been dating for six months. She was an ethnobiologist and amongst her possessions were plants. Succulents. They didn’t need much water or special attention. Except the ones in the bathroom. Or the ones under the bed. Or the one that fed off colour.
Eventually they sent out tendrils, something to do with reproduction. And that seems to inspire Emma and the narrator.
