A Peculiar Count In Time
by M K Beutymhill

A three-part serial that ran in Twist In Time Magazine. A late Victorian couple (Isabel Cooper-Oakley who wrote a real biography of the real Count St Germain, and her husband) try to track down the various incarnations of the notorious Count St Germain (historical though also legendary). Eventually they find a way to follow him to the time periods he lived in (this bit is probably not historical). This requires them to dress and act as the locals, forcing them to change and expand their point of view.
