Pulse

An evil pulse of electricity escapes the power station and kills some people in a quiet suburban Californian cul-de-sac. A boy comes to stay with his father and new wife, their house has all kinds of electrical equipment. Hanging about all day he and the neighbour boy investigate the house, meet an old man who talks about evil electricity and accidentally draw the attention of the pulse.

After a long, slow, build up the electricity attacks the boy’s step-mother and she’s hospitalised. When the father realises the boy’s story is true there’s a final sequence of man vs electrical appliances/fire etc.

Don’t Watch This: The kid left alone all day by his working father bits drag and the electricity is a bit contrived and camp to be truly threatening
