Duke and Boots are drifters and petty criminals who spot a good-looking woman, Ann, and follow her home. They find an empty house overlooking her pool. Duke has some charm and smoothness, but Boots doesn’t so Duke promises to find him a woman.

Ann is unhappily married so they attempt a plan to seduce her. The film makes us complicit with Duke and Boots voyeurism, and tense with potential violence.
