Witchcraft
In the 17th century the Lanier family accused Vanessa Whitlock of witchcraft*, and had her buried alive, taking over the Whitlock estate and house. Now Bill Lanier is trying to develop it into a housing estate; his business partner has the old Whitlock graveyard demolished, re-igniting the feud with Morgan Whitlock.
Inevitably Amy Whitlock, Morgan’s niece, and Todd Lanier, Bill’s brother, have fallen in love. Also inevitably bulldozing the tombs releases Vanessa and the coven of witches curses the Laniers. Obviously no one believes in witchcraft except for the Lanier grandmother.
