Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore
There’s a Chinese deer-dragon that can see glimpses of the future, also confer the Mandate Of Heaven onto a wizard; Fantastic Beast-wizard Newt Scamander fails to stop Grindelwald’s lackeys from killing it and stealing a new-born calf. There’s a twin though.
Dumbledore can’t fight Grindelwald due to a blood-pact and no one else can stand up to him. So he can’t be beaten and can see the future. Because of this the team Dumbledore puts together are told no one can know everything and are all sent to bumble around Berlin on their own.
Someone states that the events of the last film were last year (1927?), someone else suggests it is 1932 which certainly fits better with Grindelwald’s fascist-style movement and the meetings in Berlin. In any case there’s a lot of unexplained nonsense, some sleight of hand and as ever the Wizarding World’s structures and institutions are not only vulnerable to takeover, they’re incoherent and impossible so wizards just do magic or convince other wizards to maybe do what they want.
Watch This: Someone else has put it on the screen I guess,
that’s why I did
Don’t Watch This: Have you got all day?
