A Shaun The Sheep Movie: Farmageddon

A flying saucer lands in Mossy Bottom. Because of frisbee and other shenanigans the sheep have been locked in the barn without their supper so Shaun orders pizzas. However the alien sneaks into the delivery box on the scooter, ends up on the farm and eats them except for crust.

Shaun makes friends with the alien and they have some fun, including wrecking the farmer’s combine harvester. Heading into town they discover that UFO-spotters have turned up. In the forest hazmat suited agents from the Ministry of Alien Detection (MAD) are combing the area, and take the saucer back to their base, also the egg-controller the alien dropped.

Meanwhile the farmer has a plan to create a UFO-themed park/event called Farmageddon, which he will charge all the UFO-spotters lots of money and allow him to buy a new, bigger combine harvester – the Wheatchopper 5000. Inevitably the attempts of Shaun and the alien to firstly escape the MAD and then to communicate with the alien’s home planet climax at the show (rather ricketly put together by the sheep).

It's a (nearly) wordless stop-motion animation for kids. It’s also charming and very funny, especially the background jokes. Or even the foreground jokes, such as when the MAD turn to a signboard saying the number of UFOs captured and it goes from 0 to 1, and later when they escape goes from 1 back to 0. They also have a cute bomb-disposal robot, who has a filing draw within… the point such as it is, is that it’s very enjoyable, rewards watching, or is generally amusing for slapstick etc if you’ve got half an eye on it while it keeps small children amused.

Watch This: It’s a good movie for kids, and funny and fast moving for adults
Don’t Watch This: A cheeky sheep and an alien with no sense cause havoc
