I Watch Films: Pokémon Detective Pikachu
Mewtoo is the cloned copy of the ancient Pokégod Mew and has the power to do almost anything. Popstar Rita Ora uses him to create R, a gas that makes Pokémon get enormously violent. Also a mental interface so Mewtoo can be controlled and used to merge people with their Pokémon. Ryan Reynolds voices Detective Pikachu, a Pikachu in a deerstalker hat, who can be understood by Justice Smith, and convinces him to try and find out what on earth is going on.
I don’t know, I’m not into Pokémens.
Anyway this was a fun all ages superhero film, lots of weird monsters, hardly any Pokémon and their trainers having battles either formally or informally which is a pity because as I’m not a Pokémon guy I might have learned something.
Watch This: For a cute furry electric creature solving crimes, also everyone thinks they’re in a different story to the one they’re in which is kind of fun, the reporter woman really is on the biggest story and no one takes her seriously
Don’t Watch This: If a confusing lot of pocket monsters doing weird things does not entertain you
