I Watch TV: His Dark Materials
A good adaption of the first novel, bringing in bits implied from later ones as well. Of interest to me is that the BBC can now afford to put CGI polar bears and other animals on screen for large parts of several episodes, something that was only within reach of, say, a big-budget film 12 years ago.
Watch This: For a fantasy series with a bit more bite than will make it a true family show
Don’t Watch This: If you want unflawed heroism, or the deserving to be rewarded
This was the last TV show I finished watching in 2019; however thanks to scheduling shenanigans there is one more TV review to come. Reviewing backlog lol etc.
