Snails

It's the time of year when many people will have to entertain a small child. My patrons were offered this suggestion last year, and now those of you who don't subscribe can have this idea for free which can take up a quiet half hour if you are very lucky.

Snails – an activity for ages 3+
Requires paper, drawing materials and a little imagination

Snails are our garden friends who sometimes are pests when they cheekily eat the plants.
1. To draw a snail begin by making a spiral.
2. When the spiral is big enough close off the end.
3. Next draw a body; it goes out the front and also the back to make a tail.
4. Finally add eyes (on stalks) and a mouth.
5. (Advanced) Give your snail a name. Does he have a friend, perhaps another garden animal? Tell a story of an adventure they had together.
