I Read Stories: Little Gardens Everywhere by Avra Margariti
Little Gardens Everywhere by Avra Magariti in Giganotosaurus
Jerry and Eno were stolen-child and changeling, one taken by the fae, the other a fae left in their place. They look alike, twins or siblings, but they aren’t. But they’re bonded still, in a different way.
They live in the city now, where people don’t believe in fairies, maybe. But then they get a call from a Collectiva in the country, a place that cares for fae-touched people. A place like the one they lived in before they ran away to the city. Something is happening, someone is stealing things. When they don’t need to steal, the Collectiva would take them in.
Jerry and Eno are asked to help. And with mixed feelings they do. Because they aren’t defined by their fae heritage. But at the same time they are. And maybe they will do something for other like them, in the city. And if so, they’re going to need to deal with this. A long, winding story, examining trying to find a place to fit and how to cope with difference.
