I Watch Films: Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse

Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse

I watched this with a six year-old co-reviewer who enjoyed it quite a lot, though the start was a little slow for them, too much people talking. Still, it picks up fairly quickly and once there are more than one spider-man (spoilers?) on the screen he was very happy. It was a bit scary in places but not too scary. He especially enjoyed Peter Porker The Spectacular Spider-Ham (a spider bitten by a radioactive pig).

The six-year-old’s grandmother joined us during the final battle sequence and was somewhat confused, initially thinking it a dream sequence.

Anyway we certainly got our value for money with seven spider-mans (-womans and pig). “He’s not the real spider-man,” said the six year old about Miles early in the film, and he was right, but by the end he agreed that he had become a spider-man.

I liked the spider-cave under Aunt May’s shed.

Watch This: For spectacular spider-action, super-hero cartooning fun.
Don’t Watch This: If extremely busy screens whirling wildly is not your idea of a fun movie
