I Read Stories: The Installation by Ahsan Butt
The Installation by Ahsan Butt
Zayna is on a road trip to Miraaz, where she’s never been before. There’s a rumour that there is an installation there that shows you the first moments after your death. Everyone calling in to the radio has lost a child. Zayna may have done too. But it’s not about her, it’s about her child and about her mother.
It’s not clear. The road is not clear, nor is the journey. She arrives at her destination, that’s for sure, but when and how is open to question.
Read This: For a strange, dreamlike meditation on death and faith
Don’t Read This: If you want to know what’s actually going on.
