The Beast In The Cellar

Two elderly sisters live in a big old house. Their lives are brightened by a young soldier who comes and visits, reminding them of the best of their solder father.

Something is killing soldiers, a beast perhaps. And the sisters have secrets, hinted at in their ongoing banter and small town gossip.

The two women do some good acting work, their very ordinariness, obsession with details and bickering differences casting the horror of the murders into perspective. Meanwhile soldiers, the quintessential strong men of violence, are helpless victims, an interesting reversal.
