I Read Stories: A New Kind Of Dan by Kyle Seibel

A New Kind Of Dan by Kyle Siebel in Trampset

There’s a photo of Regular Dan, with his nine year old daughter. She’s dressed as a bride, he’s in a tuxedo. There’s no groom, no wedding, no reception.

One day Regular Dan had announced that thanks to a genetic abnormality he was going to die. And he would not be able to do the many things he wanted to do. One of which was to walk his daughter down the aisle.

So the town comes together. And they give Regular Dan all the things he might have done. He would have done. Church deacon, employee of the year, extra in a play, a gardening award. It’s a time and a place when miracles could happen.

There’s something off about the photo.
