I Read Stories: Doorway, Kingdom, Fox, Smile by Jeremy Packert Burke

Doorway, Kingdom, Fox, Smile
by Jeremy Packert Burke in Beneath Ceaseless Skies

The city is growing, and in fact growing out of control. The king has tried everything. And everything includes what is in the Mnemosyne‘s memories, memories that have been passed on through drinking blood, from former kings and generals and, of course, former mnemosynes.

One day, and soon, the Mnemosyne will be exsanguinated, to pass on their memories to the next. But until then they live, and advise and remember.

And take on new memories.
