Map for South Sea Pirates

Although this map adequately displays the route and the relationships between places in my story South Sea Pirates it does a fairly poor job of giving the feel for a place known as The Thousand Islands. It needs more islands, though then it feels cramped; it needs some ambiguity and I find that hard. Something is either on a map or not, right? I may try to fix this or if the project becomes more successful maybe even hire an illustrator.
