365 Poems in 365 Days: Apple Season
The apple tree overwhelms us
And the fruit go over so quickly
Every year we make a fuss
Coming up with new recipes
I’m going to try something new I think
Ought to be good or at least work
They put me off with a nod and a wink
But I’m making burgers of apple and pork
They don't use up as much apple as I hoped, nor were they the delicous things I was anticipating, but slightly bland. Still pork and apple burgers work and maybe want some more herbs or spice to improve them. Number 225.
