I Watch TV: Intergalactic
Intergalactic
Ash Harper is a pilot and skycop, and daughter of Rebecca Harper, head of security for the Commonworld. She’s framed and put on a prison transport with a group of desperate female convicts. They seize the ship and a whole bunch of secrets come out, the Commonworld is stripping the galaxy of resources to maintain an ecologically devastated Earth. Meanwhile each convict has their own complex backstory, skills, accent and relationship.
It’s an 8 episode TV space opera with a mis-matched crew and vague political machinations going on in the background. The Commonworld is run by scientists, and that isn’t working out as well as it might! One of the convicts got weird powers in a science experiment that might save or damn the galaxy! There’s a secret planet where the terrorist/freedom-fighters live they’re trying to get to! Every time someone falls in love it goes wrong!
There’s some good bits and some bad bits. There are constant betrayals and twists and turns. If they could learn to trust one another on board the ship (the Hemlock, eh) then… well it would let the biggest bastard betray them all I suppose. Oh well.
Watch This: For some gritty TV space opera
Don’t Watch This: You have enough gritty TV space opera
