I Read Books: Gut
Gut
This non-fiction book covers what goes on in your insides. It manages to slide fairly easily from the basics of how your guts work to extremely detailed cutting edge research. Some of which may not have been verified (as the author tells us).
Nevertheless this is an excellent introduction to the digestive system and how it interacts with the rest of the body. It’s a little too cutesy for my taste. (Perhaps the tone is different as it has been translated, taking its cue from the cartoon illustrations of the author’s sister).
Read This: To learn about your gut from teeth to, well, the other end.
Don’t Read This: If you prefer to ignore your digestive system.
