I Read Stories: Laws Of Impermanence by Kenneth Schneyer

Laws Of Impermanence
by Kenneth Schneyer

In this story texts acquire errors over time if they are unread. There are several historical and literary comments of varying interest and amusement. The story itself revolves around a will which ought to have had five copies and been read annually to keep errors minimised, but instead only two copies remained, both unread for twenty five years.

The family try to come to an agreement and do so by going through old documents. One of these is presented with three versions, leaving us in doubt as to what actually occurred in November 1927.
