I Read Interviews: Frank Sinatra Has A Cold

Frank Sinatra Has A Cold

In 1965 Esquire sent reporter Gay Talese to interview Frank Sinatra. Sinatra didn’t really want to be interviewed. So Talese hung out with him and the people around him for a while. Sinatra gets into an argument with Harlen Ellison, finishes a film he’s working on, is concerned about a documentary being made about him, and has a cold when they try to record a special TV show.

It tries to dig into the life of Frank Sinatra, and by showing what he does and who he surrounds himself with gets closer than a simple interview might have.
