I Read Stories: Something Out Of A Horror Movie by Mario Aliberto III

Something Out Of A Horror Movie by Mario Aliberto III in Milk Candy Review

The Bad Girl is a counsellor at a summer camp. (She doesn’t have a name. No one remembers the names, not even of The Final Girl. They only remember the monster.) The Final Girl is good, she wants everyone to follow the rules. The Bad Girl thinks that breaking the rules, pranks, staying up late with ghost stories, kissing, that’s what summer camp is.

The counsellors play Never Have I Ever and The Bad Girl drinks at every one, and The Final Girl not at all, not even when asked if she’s been in love. And that make The Bad Girl soften a bit, wish The Final Girl will break the rules.

The monster is out there.

Don’t Read This: The Bad Girl is doomed by the structure of the horror movie
