I Watch Films: The People That Time Forgot
The People That Time Forgot
Tyler went missing in Antarctica some years ago though not before sending mysterious messages about strange creatures. World War One got in the way but now an expedition it going to find him. They have a big 1918-style float plane, Major Ben McBride, mechanic Hogan, palaeontologist Norfolk and photographer Charlie Cunningham, whose father’s newspaper is funding it in return for an exculsive. They fly over the surrounding mountains, are forced down by pterosaurs and the plane gets stuck.
They eventually get it out by tying it to a dinosaur. By
then they’ve met Ajor, a cave-woman, who has been taught English by Tyler.
Going further into the interior they learn he taught farming to one tribe, also
full scale iron-working and samurai-style armour to another tribe, who are the
villains. Not sure about that.
The villains have captured Tyler, and the chief wants to sacrifice the others to the volcano god. Instead they escape and have a series of fights. The volcano explodes.
Middle of the road lost world film, the pterosaur vs plane fight much better than it ought to be considering the crudeness of the models.
Watch This: Slightly silly 1970s dinosaur and cave man
action
Don’t Watch This: The only thing worse than the biology is
