Devoured Stars Over Dublin by Méabh de Brún in GigaNotoSaurus
Reg lives in Dublin, a Dublin that was taken over by the Great Old Ones a hundred years ago, overthrowing the Roman God (the Catholic Church) and the British (1916 is the date given) and ushering a new a hideous rule. It’s a hideous hellscape of weird creatures and cultists, and everyone has to scramble to survive. And so Reg discovers that a normie has come over from another world (probably ours) and has to hustle to buy and sell them.
Real and fictional Dublin loom large, and even here, in the worst of all possible Dublins, there’s life, and maybe even hope? Maybe.
