365 Poems in 365 Days: Not Writing Sherlock Holmes
If I ever wrote a story of Sherlock Holmes
It would be one he solves with his big head dome
Without even leaving his own armchair
“Watson – fetch me The Times. It’s over there.”
Number 253 is true, apart from the fact that I have no intention of writing a Holmes story. Nevertheless I still contend that every collection of Holmes stories should have a mystery that Holmes solves without leaving his rooms, or preferably his chair.
